We would like expressions of interest in the groups, so please call the co-ordinators to place your name on a list. We will call meetings of the interested members and hope to establish the groups by February 2019.

 

An 8 week courses in Spanish will be available to anyone interested, beginning on the 17th October at the Arataki Community Center, Mount Maunganui, from 6.30pm – 8.30pm. Fees apply.

U3A Tauranga has 100+ interest groups. Because most groups meet in the members’ homes, membership numbers are of necessity limited. Many groups have been established for a long time and do not have vacancies. Read on to understand how U3A helps members join groups.

Nothing seems to be available. The group you want to join has no vacancies or meets on the wrong day for you. What to do?

  • - Put your name on the waiting list. All groups have a waiting list. Please note: you must be a financial member of U3A to have your name added to a waiting list.
  • - When approx. six people express interest in a full group, discussion will begin to start a new group. Group coordinators initiate this discussion.
  • - Browse all Groups. Contact the Group Coordinator responsible for the group you are interested in and put your name on the waiting list: All Groups

A group of ex-hikers who do shorter easier walks than the Hikers Groups. We walk together to enjoy the friendship of members and appreciate the beauty of the places we walk. We will pause to enjoy the scenery and take photos! Walks will be in bush and local areas and be 2-3 hours in length. A reasonable level of fitness is required.
