General Meetings are held on the third Friday of each month, except January and December, from 10am to noon, in the Wesley Methodist Church Hall, 13th Avenue, Tauranga.

Interesting speakers are invited to these meetings.  A light morning tea is provided. The entry fee is $4.00 per person.  The meetings provide an opportunity to meet other members of U3A Tauranga not in your group.
A Special General Meeting is held in November at which members elect a committee to run the organisation. The subscription rates for the following year are also set at this meeting.
The AGM is held in February at which the annual accounts are presented and the formal handover of the executive elected in November takes place.  
Committee meetings are generally held on the second Friday of each month.  Should you wish to have a matter placed on the agenda please notify the secretary no later than one week before the meeting.

Conveners’ meetings are called twice a year by the Group Co-ordinators and will be held on 31 March 2017 and 30 October 2017 at 10am.
Interest Groups usually meet between February and November.  Details of the various groups, conveners, meeting venues, dates and times are provided in this Handbook. See the Index on page 6.

New Members’ Information Meetings will be held on 14 March 2017, 26 July 2017 and 02 November 2017 at 2pm.

Tauranga Continuing Education Group

Tauranga Continuing Education Group aims to Providing older people with an opportunity to listen to prominent New Zealanders discussing topics of interest.  Many of the speakers come from the University of Waikato and others from business and local organisations.

Meetings are held at the Otumoetai Baptist Church, 241 Otumoetai Road, Tauranga, commencing at 10.00am 3rd Tuesday of the month.
