The University of the Third Age (U3A) was originally attached to Toulouse University, but has now evolved into a stand-alone, exciting and rewarding organisation for retired, like-minded people who want to come together to learn. There are no qualifications; members learn from each other.

U3A came to Tauranga in 1995 and now, with a membership base hovering around the 800 member mark, and with over 90 groups to choose from, U3A Tauranga offers something for everyone. This web site gives an insight of U3A Tauranga.

Tauranga Continuing Education Group

Tauranga Continuing Education Group aims to Providing older people with an opportunity to listen to prominent New Zealanders discussing topics of interest.  Many of the speakers come from the University of Waikato and others from business and local organisations.

Meetings are held at the Otumoetai Baptist Church, 241 Otumoetai Road, Tauranga, commencing at 10.00am 3rd Tuesday of the month.
