On 22nd April, a sunny day, 19 Weekend Walkers drove to Waihi. After morning tea we set off to walk around the Rim of the Martha Goldmine where there are many information boards describing the functions of the Goldmine.

There was a huge slip from the top of the rim which slipped to the bottom. The walkway was fenced off for quite a distance and we walked along the road and rejoining up later to complete the walk. The walkway is a 4km well maintained gravel track taking around an hour. We drove to Gilmour Lake to have our lunch and then set off  again along the Mill Stream walkway. There was another walkway which we decided to leave for another day.

It was time for some to stop off for coffee and others continued home.

Thank you all for coming and making this another successful adventure
