We work to discover more about various art media and how to use them.  We have tutors for water colour painting, oil painting, drawing and composition, pen and wash, and pastels.  When no tutor is available the session is self-directed.  We follow our own preferences on work we have planned at home.

We examine local and overseas buildings and cities from the point of view of their architectural styles, design achievements and place in history – the scope is wide.  Contributions of any length are encouraged and we use a variety of ways to illustrate our talks.  Occasionally we invite professionals to offer their insights.

Tauranga Continuing Education Group

Tauranga Continuing Education Group aims to Providing older people with an opportunity to listen to prominent New Zealanders discussing topics of interest.  Many of the speakers come from the University of Waikato and others from business and local organisations.

Meetings are held at the Otumoetai Baptist Church, 241 Otumoetai Road, Tauranga, commencing at 10.00am 3rd Tuesday of the month.
