Philosophy for Today – Dave Higson is wishing to start this new group. A fortnightly group to be an interactive discussion/debate style group in which modern philosophical issues will be addressed. There is no need to have previous experience in the subject but have a willingness to stimulate the mind and be open to new ideas. Meetings will be based in members the Mount Maunganui/Papamoa area.
Expressions of interest should be made to Dave Higson 027 234 6548. Dave will be the convener of this group.

Solo Adventurers has reverted to Lone Rangers
Mini Hikes 3 is in recess until March 2021 when it will be readvertised and will seek a convener.
International Affairs, Philosophy 3 - These groups have primarily met via Zoom this year but will revert to a combination of physical group meetings and Zoom meetings so that outside speakers of interest can be involved.

Notice of U3A Annual General Meeting 2021
Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of U3A Tauranga Inc is to be held on Friday 19th February 2021 at the Tauranga Yacht and Power Boat Club, Sulphur Point, Tauranga at 10.00am. The AGM will be followed by morning tea and a speaker. All members are cordially invited to attend.

Royal Commission of Inquiry into Abuse in Care
The Abuse in Care Royal Commission of Inquiry is investigating the historical abuse of children, young people and vulnerable adults in State and faith-based care in Aotearoa New Zealand. They are looking into why people were taken into care, what abuse people suffered in care and why, and the effects of the abuse on them and their family.
