The Ancient History group discusses anything historical from prehistoric humans up to the Fall of Byzantium in 1453. No geographical region is ruled out, but discussion generally focusses on the ancient civilizations of the Middle East, the Mediterranean and Europe.

In 2017 it is planned to start each session with a talk about some aspect of ancient Greece, the later part of the session being open for discussion on any relevant topics which members care to raise.
