The air is cold and some agility is needed to walk across the icy snow glazed by the snowboarders. Warm, wind proof clothes and shoes with tread are a must. Hiking poles can be a help.
Follow the crowd from the car park to the bus for transport to the ticket office. Besides the external ticket windows there are internal ticket sales. Ask about the expected conditions but remember the weather can change quickly. Join the chair lift queue and watch the agility of skiers with wistful memories.
The Knoll Ridge Café was crowded, many had their packed lunches. The coffee is served in the bar area. Altitude means you can be above the clouds, the view can be uplifting.
