The Lone Rangers, (formerly the Solo Seniors' Travel Group).
Hope the following helps give members more information on our "Lone Rangers" Group.
-This group is definitely functioning well with its 30 members. We have monthly meetings on Mondays at 9:30 am to 11:30 at The Raft Cafe on Chapel street,-( by Briscoes) .There's no charge for the use of the boardroom as long as we buy coffee or tea which they very kindly deliver to us.
Twice a month members from our group go out together for dinner on Sat.nights and out to Country Cafes on Sunday's.
As the members get to know each better, more are ringing each other to go to a movie, coffee, a walk etc. 7 of us went to Balloons over Waikato and stayed a night there and meandered back through Cambridge etc. I have also booked an Art Deco Week in Napier 2016-for 7 members which we know will be a fun and exciting experience.
----8 to 10 members are planning a trip to Tasmania for 2016, others are interested in African Safaris, Alaska, Europe, Australia, Pacific Islands, Trips to the South Island, Molesworth Station, Wellington Wearable Arts, Trans Alpine Express, shows in Auckland, weekends away just getting to know our own back yard,- the opportunities are endless.
Our group is a friendly one and we now have several men but always welcome more. Our meetings are relaxed, fun and casual. We welcome new people and new ideas.
