13 June 2015. On a very cold and windy day 12 members and 1 visitor set off from below Mt Drury past the playground and up many steps to reach the top.
The wind was very strong and white caps were in the Pilot Bay. We walked along the path on Leisure Island, looked out over a calm Main Beach, and then headed towards the Mount base walkway. 2 members and their visitor said goodbye to us as we walked into the headwind. We saw a seal lying on the rocks, some fishermen fishing in the channel on the low tide and lots of walkers.
During the summer months we have had a picnic lunch, but the winter will be coffee time in selected coffee shops.
Thank you all for coming. Nancye Lucas.
