Weekend Walkers Greerton Park 25th July

With many members away overseas and other commitments, 8 members met at Greerton Park.

It was a grey and overcast day when we set off over the wooden  bridge which crosses over the Waimaupu Stream. This is a short cut to Windermere Polytech. We walked through the walkways passing the many classrooms. As it was a Saturday the campus was very quiet. We walked along the road leading to a hidden walkway which led to the cliff edge. We felt we were encroaching on the front lawns of the houses looking out to the estuary. The tide was out. We visited a cemetery. We also found a park with a slide and swings which the big kids enjoyed. A very interesting area we had not visited before.

Coffee and lunch for some before saying our farewells until next time.
