On arrival at Kulim Park the wind was blowing, there were white caps on the sea and a rain squall was on its way towards us.
Weekend Walkers at Pillans Point, 8th Aug. We had 9 walkers set off after the shower along Kulim Road, past Bureta Countdown and disappeared down side streets we had not ventured before. Past 2 Tauranga Council flats complexes, through Rutherford Reserve with a children's playground. Along the way we spoke to a lady who has extended her vege garden onto the berm. We all had a great gardening/compost chat. A rainbow was visible over the estuary and then we went down a steep hill onto Daisy Hardwicke Walk. We stopped along the way for a drink in the sunshine.
The wind was blowing hard as we walked along Harbour Drive back to our cars. Coffee was once again enjoyed to complete our mornings walk.
