September 2nd and spring was in the air while a good muster of U3A Tauranga Hikers 1 group, guided by Gerald, walked the Lakes area.

Construction was hapening on many sites we passed and comment was made how the strike rate for the plantings was exceptional. These plantings give the area a lived in atmosphere, far removed from older sub-divisions where purchasers were left to do their own plantings.
