Hikers 2 at Te Puna Quarry Park Gardens
Hikers 2 were given a wonderful tour around the Quarry Park Gardens. One of our members, Stuart, a volunteer at the gardens, lead the group.

It was unfortunate that Thursday morning was the only time during the week when we had some rain. This meant we were not able to enjoy the fantastic views of Tauranga and the surrounding area. There were many spring flowering plants to admire, including orchids, magnolias, clivia, bromeliads and irises. There are many sculptures of various mediums scattered about the park, some quirky, and many unique and imaginative. Despite the inclement weather everyone had a very enjoyable time. Stuart requested we mention that if anyone is interested, the park needs more volunteers.
Thank you again, Stuart for your most interesting tour.
