Hikers 1 started winter with a hike from Waikino, through the railway tunnel to the Karagahake walkway bridge over State Highway 2 at Karangahake.

 We had lunch at the popular reserve at Karagahake, then walked on the river bank across the river from the road, returning to Waikino and a coffee at the Station Cafe. Thanks to Thelma and those who organised an enjoyable walk.
